Every tracker we read needs a plan, and only Halo printed a plan price we could read ("Plans start at $9.99/mo"). The others are priced device only, flagged. What that means over three years: dog GPS tracker with no subscription.
Frequently asked questions
Why is the cheapest litter box not the cheapest over three years?
Because refills are priced per month and the box only once. The PetSafe ScoopFree Crystal Classic is the cheapest box in our check at $99.95, but its crystal trays add about $894 over three years for one cat at PetSafe's one-tray-a-month pace, for $994.08 in all [calc]. The CATLINK Scooper Open-X costs $199 and about $78 of waste bags over the same three years [calc].
What does "not published" mean in the tables?
The brand's product page and store data do not give the figure. We never fill the gap with a figure from another site or from a guess. Where an interval is missing, the 3-year cost says so and the device is left out of the cheapest-over-3-years picks.
Why are some prices struck through?
Only when the store itself shows a compare-at price. We do not compute discounts and cannot say how long the higher price was charged. Holiday sales were running on several stores on November 7, 2026.
